NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC School Winners Qualify for Maine State Geography Bee

The following students have qualified for the Maine State National Geographic Bee on March 30, 2012. To qualify, students must be finalists in their school level bees and then take a written test to qualify for the state bee.

Katelyn Cox, a 7th grade student at Mt Ararat Middle School, and Lisandro Berry-Gaviria, a 4th grade student at Bowdoinham Community School, will be representing MSAD 75 and their individual schools at the Maine State Bee to be held in Hannaford Hall on the University of Maine’s Farmington Campus.

State Bee winners receive $100 and the “Complete National Geographic on DVD” and a free trip to Washington DC to compete in the national finals on May 22-24,
